This was Rachel's first sleepover at our house with more than one girl.  She had a blast!

End of School

Today is the last day of school for the school year.  1st grade and 4th grade are now in the books!  I can't believe Rachel will be in 5th grade next year!!!

Here are a few pictures from their awards days this week.

And this morning - excited for their last day!

It was chilly this morning - that's why she has a jacket on and he's cold!

Swim team has already started and they have done excellent so far!  Summer is starting...May has been so busy and is almost over.  On to the next thing...

Rachel Turns Ten

My baby girl turned ten years old last week...*sniff sniff*  She has been so excited for quite a while now - ready to be double-digits!

She chose to go to the Japanese Steakhouse to celebrate.

Jackson trying to catch a shrimp in his mouth...

Playing a fun, new game!

Her birthday morning...she asked for a pair of Converse tennis shoes this year, so she was excited to wear them for the first time.

I had lunch with her at school that day and also stayed and had lunch with Jackson as well.  This is Rachel and Haley.

That afternoon when they were at Amanda's house, she surprised them and took them to get a snowcone to celebrate!

This is her year for a friend party but we've been so busy this month that her sleepover is going to be tomorrow night.  I'll try to post more pictures then.

Recently...

April is behind us now and we're into the busy month of May.  Here's a little bit of what we did over the last few weeks.

Rachel had thebig Milestone tests at school.  As I was getting her lunch ready on the first morning of testing, I saw this in her lunchbox.  She had written herself a good luck note!

Jackson went to a friend's skating party.  Skating is not something we do a lot but I told  him if he went, he had to keep trying and not give up and run around and play arcade games.  And he did - he skated the whole time we were there and had fun.

Easter day.

Being silly...

Michael and I started a Financial Peace University class at church a couple of weeks ago.  It's a ten week class.

And the kids' art from the art show at school this year.

Tomorrow is their last soccer game.  They've really enjoyed it this season - especially Jackson.  He's really come a long way.  Swim team started this week so soon they will be in the pool each day.  Rachel turns double-digits in just over a week.  And school is out in three weeks!
