Rachel's Birthday & Mother's Day

Mother's Day was nice this year.  Michael came home from his six day trip to Reno that afternoon but the kids helped to make the morning nice.  They made me breakfast and decorated the kitchen.  Not sure why the initial picture was so dark - sorry!

And we went to dinner with Barbara and Dawson that evening at Texas Roadhouse.

They were very glad to have their daddy back home.

Rachel is still loving sloths... We made sloth cookies to take to her class for her birthday.
She turned 11 last week!  Yay!

The birthday girl!

Since Jackson has a summer birthday, I brought popscicles in for his class that same day to celebrate with him.

She picked Ipps for dinner that night.

And we all went to Bruster's for ice cream over the weekend.

Fairy Tale Ball

The whole second grade participated in a Fairy Tale Ball at school a month or two ago, but it took a while to get all of the pictures in.  They had to create their own crown and mask using several different materials.  And they all had to dress up for the day.

He looked so handsome to start with but then his tie caused a problem and I didn't get any really good pictures of him that morning.  But he ended up happier and I'm thankful for other people there that got some good pictures of him having fun.

With his teacher, Mrs. Boll.

Since Spring Break

Soccer season finished up about a week ago.  They lost their last several games - several in shoot-outs, so that was disappointing, but he did great this year.

Consoling his friend, Jake, after a tough loss.

Grandpa came down for a quick visit one weekend to see a soccer game.

Their art from this year's Art Show at school.

We had some visitors at our house for almost a week.  A family of foxes!  It was crazy.  There were seven babies and they would play all over our deck and backyard.  They'd come out in the mornings and evenings and we would just sit and watch them play.  They were so cute!!

This was the mama - she would keep checking on them.

We went to the Braves game with the family the other night.  Not a lot of pictures from this...

And we finally got to meet our newest niece, Juliette.  Such a sweet girl!

Rachel is absolutely in love!

All five cousins!

And Rachel had to get new glasses this year.  She got to  pick them out this time and loves them!
