The Circus

Michael took Rachel to her first circus on Friday morning. She was very excited about going.

He was waiting in line and she wanted to see what was inside...I thought this was a cute picture.

They got there early to go down on the floor and experience things first hand.

Her tatoo on her hand.

Dancing with the instructor...

Her treasured cotton candy came in this cute hat!

She had a really good time even though she may have been a tad young to really enjoy all of it.

Teeth!!

We now have teeth! Well, Jackson does anyways. His two bottom teeth came in at the same time a few weeks ago and was actually pretty easy. We took a few minutes last weekend to try and get some pictures of his new pearly whites...it was a little difficult. But we did get some really cute pictures of him!

See them down there?

Sweet boy...

"I said stop messing with my mouth!!"

So there you go. And actually, just yesterday we discovered he has one popping through on the top and possibly the other top one about to come through! These don't seem to be as easy...

Our Visit to Charlotte

Well, we finally made it back to Charlotte for a visit and we managed to see almost the entire family - even if only for a short period of time. I forgot to take my camera to dinner Friday night so I don't have any pictures of that night unfortunately...

Saturday morning we went to the park with Grandpa. Rachel loves feeding the ducks (or geese in this case).

She didn't actually ride with Jackson on there - we just set him on there for a minute - and that was long enough!

We made a stop by Great-Grandmother Perkin's house - she met Jackson for the first time!

And we went to the playground Sunday morning as well with Nana... Rachel loves playgrounds and will go anytime you ask her.

Jackson getting in on the swinging action...

Rachel loves bags...

Overall it was a very good trip. We drove during nap time in hopes that Rachel would sleep some of it - but that didn't happen - either time. She stayed awake and never even closed her eyes. But it wasn't too bad. Jackson slept pretty much both drives - which was great. It was his first road trip and he handled it like a pro!

The Past Few Weeks

Jeffrey and Constance came over for dinner a few weeks ago... Jackson proudly wore his "My Aunt Rocks" shirt that Constance had bought him... So cute!

He loves to eat his socks!

We started Jackson on cereal about a week ago. So far he is not loving it. This was his first experience with it.

I couldn't get it in his mouth fast enough (for the first minute or so - that soon stopped.)

And that was enough of that!

We actually had a pretty weekend last weekend - it was almost 70 degrees outside! So we took our lunch outside and had a picnic...

Our happy little guy... He is six months old now - I just can't believe it's going so fast. I want him to stay a baby b/c he's so sweet and innocent...

A Few More Snow Pics...

I wanted to go ahead and get up a few more of the snow pictures we got this week during our big week of snow.

I love this picture of my two little snow bunnies!

Jackson got in on the sledding on the second day...This was him going by himself.

And of course the two of them together...

The kids finally went back to school on Thursday - everyone was ready to start getting out of the house again. This was Rachel before school.

And I got this cute one tonight after he had a bath. He was in such a good mood!

Another Snow Day

Once again, snow has fallen in our area - and I mean a lot of snow! We woke up this morning and had six inches of snow on the ground. How exciting - that never happens here! Our whole city was shut down for the day and it appears will be the same tomorrow. We got out and played in it twice today. Rachel enjoyed the sledding in our backyard, driveway and in the road (although I mainly got videos of those...). I was holding Jackson most of the time so he only made it into a few of the pictures. He didn't care to be bundled up so much and was tired most of the time as well - so he didn't really care to be out in it.

During our first trip outside, he fell asleep on me. I brought him in shortly after that and laid him down to unbundle him... He never stays asleep when we are changing him, but he did this time. We call this picture "The autopsy of a polar bear." There's a little boy inside! =)

You can't even see the bottom six or so inches of the playhouse!

I just love Cardinals in snow pictures!

Trying to make a snow angel...much better reaction than last year...

I love this picture!

Tomorrow will be another day to get out and play in the snow...I may not take as many pictures though...we shall see!

Snowy, Snowy Day

We did get out and play in the snow for a little bit yesterday morning. Rachel enjoyed it - Jackson wasn't too sure about it.

Jackson's first snow.

All she wanted to do was eat the snow.

Jackson's first time tasting snow.

This was Rachel's first time snow and her first time eating it...she was 8 months old at the time.

Three years later... Enjoying some hot chocolate after playing in the cold...
